Grief Group

Grief needs to be witnessed, and so often, grievers don’t have spaces with people that understand what they’re moving through if those they are surrounded by haven’t experienced profound loss. This is meant to be a collective space for sharing about those we’ve lost, sharing about whatyou’ve lost, and discovering yourself now in this new place in your life. Participants can expect to engage in peer support, creative expression, and facilitated discussion on topics relevant to attendees. This closed group will be a space where participants can listen to each other, express what they want to express, and explore what can be as you walk alongside your grief with others.

Your facilitator, Kimberly Koljat, MA, IMFT-S, RPT-S, RDT is a certified grief professional through Megan Devine’s grief facilitator training program. She focuses much of her clinical work on grief as well as creating a year long grief project called “The Eyed Entity Project” using the principles of Developmental Transformations as a means to navigate profound loss. She has her Masters in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, licensed in both CA and OH, is an adjunct faculty member at CIIS, and directs self-revelatory performances.

Group cost is $30 per group (per week).

Registration is required. Group participants can miss one meeting throughout the course of the group series, as consistency is both important to individual and group process. This is not a drop in group.

Wednesdays 6pm-7pm, beginning September 30th, meets for 9 sessions.

This group will meet on the following dates: September 30, October 7, October 21, November 4, November 11, November 18, December 2, December 9, December 16.
