Carrying Grief- A Virtual Therapy Group

Open for Enrollment

This small virtual therapy group is for adults in Massachusetts who are grieving the death of someone important. You may feel overwhelmed, lonely, angry, numb, or tired of people expecting you to be doing better by now. You may also have people who care about you but still feel that no one fully understands what this loss has been like.

The group offers a steady, supportive place to talk honestly about grief without pressure to move on, find closure, or make meaning before you are ready. Each week includes time to check in, share what has been coming up, learn more about grief, and explore practical ways of coping with the emotional and physical weight of loss.

We may talk about guilt, regret, loneliness, difficult dates, changes in identity, relationships after loss, continuing bonds, and how grief changes over time. Members are never expected to share more than feels manageable.

I am an Irish-born grief therapist with a background in hospital, palliative, and end-of-life social work. My understanding of grief has also been shaped by Irish traditions of mourning, remembrance, storytelling, and carrying the people we have lost with us. The group is open to adults of all backgrounds.

The goal is not to fix grief. It is to help you feel less alone, understand what you are experiencing, and find ways to carry your grief with more support.

This is a fixed six-week group, with the same members attending each week. A brief consultation is required before joining.
