Living With Loss- A 10-Week Virtual Grief Program

Open for Enrollment

Carrying Grief is a structured 10-week virtual program for adults in Massachusetts who are grieving the death of someone important. It is for people who want more than a drop-in support group and would benefit from having time to understand their grief, connect with others, and build support over several weeks.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, numb, angry, guilty, lonely, or tired of being expected to be doing better. You may also feel as though the people around you care but do not fully understand how deeply this loss has changed your life.

Each week includes time to check in, talk honestly about what has been coming up, learn more about grief, and reflect on your own experience. We will explore topics such as the physical and emotional impact of grief, guilt and regret, identity after loss, difficult dates, relationships, loneliness, coping with other people’s expectations, continuing bonds, and finding ways to live alongside grief.

I am an Irish-born grief therapist with a background in hospital, palliative, and end-of-life social work. My work is also shaped by Irish traditions of mourning, storytelling, remembrance, and continuing to carry the people we have lost with us. The program is open to adults of all cultural and religious backgrounds.

This is not a program about moving on, finding closure, or making meaning before you are ready. The goal is to help you feel less alone, better understand what you are experiencing, and find ways to carry your grief with more support and steadiness.

The same members attend for all 10 weeks so that trust and connection can build over time. You will never be expected to share more than feels manageable. A brief consultation is required before joining to make sure the program feels appropriate for your needs.
