About My Clients

Do you find yourself turning to unhelpful coping patterns again and again despite your best efforts to change them? Do you want space to tap into the wisdom of your emotions and your body? Are you tired of trying to create change alone? If you’re looking for guidance and support through these questions and more, working together may be a good fit. I meet people where they are with fierce compassion, curiosity, and care, offering tools and support to create the life you really want to be living.

My Background and Approach

My approach is a mixture of working with our emotions, the stories we tell ourselves, the information in our bodies, and our inner parts. I work collaboratively with you to set goals, move through the stuck places in your present, past or future, and ultimately create the change you want to see. Using EMDR, mindfulness, nature-based, emotion-focused, somatic, ACT, DBT, and inner parts techniques, I support you to grow and heal at your own pace. I specialize in working with eating disorder recovery and body image challenges, older adolescents and young adults, and trauma healing. I also frequently work with those experiencing depression, anxiety, challenges with self-esteem, relationship concerns, struggles with emotion regulation, and feeling disconnected from others and themselves.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I deeply believe in the beauty and strength of the human spirit; every day I find myself in awe of our resiliency. I also believe that our mental health struggles often come from past adaptive learning that, overtime, no longer serves us. As children or young people we often learn unconscious patterns and ways to cope that help us survive challenging, disturbing, or traumatic experiences, however as we get older these ways of being can begin to stifle more than support. Through my own experience with eating disorder and trauma recovery I know firsthand how painful, challenging, and lonely it can be to face into the maladaptive patterns that can develop to protect us. I also know the power and freedom that come when we invest in coming home to ourselves and learning to partner with our bodies. I believe we all have the ability to tap into the nervous system’s natural capacity to heal, grow, and create change, especially when we receive quality support and tools.
