About My Clients
I work with LGBTQIA+ folks and partners who are struggling to feel confident showing up authentically in the relationships that matter most to them. Whether you're struggling to feel accepted with family, friends or colleagues, or feeling lost in a relationship structure for which there is no social blueprint, I provide individual and partner therapy for folks who are working through the rollercoaster of Queer existence and seeking support that honors all the facets of who you are.
My Background and Approach
As a Queer person myself, I know firsthand the joys and challenges of navigating LGBTQ+ life, on your own and in partnership. Whether you're looking for partner therapy to strengthen your relationship or individual therapy to process past hurts, I provide warm, direct, affirming therapy to help you grow in confidence and show up authentically with the people you love. I use an attachment-based, trauma-informed approach with my clients, helping them understand the ways that past hurts affect their current relationships. In relationship counseling, I use Gottman Method Couple Therapy to help partners improve communication, manage conflict, and build a strong foundation for relationships based in love and understanding.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am openly Queer and passionate about activism in my community. I believe strongly in providing Queer and trans-affirming, anti-racist, trauma-informed, disability-friendly, body-liberationist, sex positive, kink-affirming, CNM-affirming (consensually non-monogamous) care for all my clients. I love creative arts, crafts, theatre and hanging out with my wife and our two cats.
