About My Clients
The populations I serve include individuals struggling with substance abuse issues, those struggling with depression and anxiety, and individuals lacking a sense of self. My humanistic practice focuses on empowering individuals to gain confidence in order to improve their quality of life.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in CT and NY. I have over ten years of experience working with a diverse population of age, race, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I work from a client-centered approach, which focuses on the client’s specific needs during each session. In my clinical practice, I focus on building strength through connection with individuals struggling with mental health and co-occurring issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse disorders.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Utilizing DBT, CBT, and EMDR, I believe in confidence building with clients and focus on a strengths-based modality in finding solutions to life’s difficulties. I utilize a humanistic approach in finding unconditional positive regard for each client I work with, demonstrating acceptance for who they are as a human being.
