About My Clients
I work with adults navigating grief, life transitions, and adjustment-related challenges. I am especially passionate about supporting BIPOC clients in a culturally responsive and affirming environment. My clients often seek help managing stress, anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional distress while building healthier thought patterns, coping skills, and resilience.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based treatment that helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, sustainable change. I take a culturally responsive, strengths-based approach that recognizes the impact of identity, culture, and lived experiences on mental health. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their challenges, building self-awareness, and working toward their goals. Whether you are navigating grief, adjusting to a major life transition, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I tailor treatment to your unique needs and experiences. My goal is to help you build resilience, gain insight, and develop the tools needed to move forward with greater confidence and well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. Life’s challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from our strengths, yet I believe each individual has the capacity for growth, resilience, and meaningful change. I view therapy as a collaborative process grounded in trust, authenticity, and respect, where clients are supported in exploring their experiences and working toward goals aligned with their values. I am committed to culturally responsive care, especially for BIPOC clients, and believe self-compassion is essential to healing. Seeking support is a sign of strength and a step toward lasting change.
