About My Clients

We are all traversing through our own unique personal, interpersonal, and communal relationships and experiences on our journey towards healing while simultaneously navigating larger systems that are often out of our control. I am here to help hold space for that complexity. I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and neurodiverse folks make meaning of their lived experience as they reconnect and strengthen their relationships and trust to self.

My Background and Approach

I bring a culturally responsive, strength based, and person centered approach that is rooted in the inherent belief that we are all capable of change and deserving of care. I offer individual and couples/relationship therapy that is informed by my work in domestic violence prevention, LGBTQ+ health and wellness, and environmental/disability justice. I am passionate about working from decolonial and abolitionist frameworks. I believe that how we support and show up for ourselves and each other is at the core of creating alternatives to the systems and structures that we live in. While I bring clinical knowledge, YOU are the expert of your own experience. I see myself as a partner in your healing journey and am committed to co-creating a container for you to make meaning of your lived experience as you reconnect and strengthen your relationship and trust to self.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My lived experience as a Black, transgender, first generation African is not separated from my approach to therapy. Among many ideologies, my approach is deeply informed by Abolitionist & Black Feminist Frameworks, Disability Justice, Fat Liberation, and Harm Reduction. Over the past 6+ years I have worked in a vast array of settings in the non-profit sector including domestic violence prevention, LGBTQ+ health and wellness, and environmental justice. Through this work I have learned so much from my own communities and the communities I have the honor of witnessing that have directly impacted my therapeutic approach, which includes not adhering to a one size fits all model. Your entire context will be taken into consideration, I pull from multiple modalities and ideologies to help co-create a space that is unique to you and your desires during our time together.
