About My Clients

My Background and Approach
As a systemic, relational therapist, I know that relationships are key--your relationship to yourself as a multi-faceted person, to your loved ones, to your body and your nervous system. Our therapeutic relationship will also be an important part of your healing. I believe in showing up as my authentic self, with the hope this will help you feel comfortable doing the same. My clients describe my approach as warm and approachable. I will challenge you, but with gentleness and compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal, grow, and change. While many things happen in our lives that we didn't choose, we can work to respond to life events in a way that aligns with our values. We all have values, even if we don't think about them much, and we feel better when we're living in alignment with our values. My values include ongoing learning, exploration, growth, laughter/humor, combating oppression, and creating a more just society.
