About My Clients
My clients typically fall into one to four of my specialties/niches population wise. My clients have background experience or are questioning aspects about neurodivergence (particularly ADHD or Autism), being apart of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, trauma/complex trauma, and/or substance use/addiction. There is a strong overlap in these various populations that need support more than ever, and deserve a clinician that can provide curiosity, compassion, and support for their needs.
My Background and Approach
As a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming provider, I am dedicated to fostering authenticity and understanding. I am currently working with individuals 18+ and specialize in neurodivergence (specifically ADHD and Autism), substance use, and identity. My practice is built on a person-centered approach, utilizing strength-based strategies, narrative therapy, and psychodynamic principles to navigate the complexities of each individual's experiences and identities. I believe in the power of collaboration, with each client being the expert of their own life. As an AuDHD person myself, I have curated an intense passion for supporting others who identify as neurodivergent or want to explore what that means to them. With a cohesive background with both mental health & substance use community support, I offer a holistic and understanding approach for resources, support, and alternative approaches for life. Starting with any therapist can be an intimidating journey to begin w
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is truly the expert of their own lives and that we are all capable of change. I believe that there are a lot of internalized narratives from the patriarchy, capitalism, and many other domains that have created significant distress for marginalized communities that do not coincide with how those groups appear, think, love, and exist. I believe in authenticity and creating as equitable of a power dynamic as possible between therapist and client, because it will always be a relationship that should feel safe and a place to comfortably learn more about oneself. I believe that social justice and the systemic elements outside of the office are just as important to the niche details about every single person into understanding who they are. I strongly believe that we are not always taught the vocabularly to articulate and notice our emotions, which creates a lot of challenges in our lives. I would love to support you and your journey.
