About My Clients

My clients are often navigating life transitions, cultural/family expectations, and traumatic or difficult experiences. Many are also exploring their identities and trying to find a balance between their personal values and the pressures they feel from the outside world. They're looking for ways to manage daily stress and feel less overwhelmed—whether that stress is coming from work, school, or family. Therapy can help you with that too!

My Background and Approach

I have a background in both family and individual work. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2012, after receiving my Bachelor of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011. I started my career working with children and their families in community-based programs. A few years later, I moved into a state-funded crisis program role that served a large region of Virginia. In 2020, I transitioned to virtual therapy to make services more accessible to the clients I work with. My areas of focus include depression and mood challenges, life transitions, stress and anxiety, racial identity, cultural and bicultural concerns, trauma, religious expectations, and the challenges of young to middle adulthood. I offer individualized support that respects each person's unique experience. My goal is to help clients explore their emotions, build effective coping strategies, and strengthen their resilience.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should be accessible and available for everyone! This is why I offer sliding scale options for those that cannot afford typical therapy rates. I also support several global non-profit organizations that fight injustices brought upon vulnerable populations. This is something very important to me. Aside from therapy and my non-profit work/support, my Interests include going to restaurants, traveling, flower arranging, and attending events/concerts!
