About My Clients
I welcome clients from all stages of life. I gravitate towards work with folks that helps them identify how their individual story, their collective experience, and our cultural system has shaped their beliefs, patterns, and way of being in the world. My work involves getting to the heart of why you want change and have come to therapy.
My Background and Approach
My approach is rooted in trauma-informed, narrative-focused, relational psychotherapy. Our work together will help you understand yourself better in the context of your life story: all of the internal and external forces that have shaped you. Together, we will listen deeply to the key-events and somatic experiences that you bring to therapy, paying close attention to parts of you that are in pain or feeling disconnected. As we become curious about your symptoms, we’ll be invited into something deeper than behavior management as we work to understand the root of your patterns, embedded in your individual and collective experience. My role is to bear witness with you in this process through curiosity, compassion, and my developing clinical insight. Your unique needs will determine our direction. I received my MA in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. I also have extensive experience working with adolescents who have acute psychiatric needs.
