About My Clients
My clients are a wide variety in age, sex, gender, and life experience. One of my favorite parts of being a clinician is us working together to find commonality and learn from each other in the differences that we do have. A commonality I always find in my clients is that they are there in the session because they are looking to do something different for themselves, and want to be better for those around them.
My Background and Approach
Zach completed his Bachelors of Science in Social Work at Temple University, with minors in Music and Psychology, and his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Fairfield University. Zach has experience treating a wide range of disorders and existential issues. His work experience has involved working in Psychiatric Hospitals, Community Clinics, Residential Facilities, case management and facilitating Addiction Self-Help groups. Zach’s treatment approaches primarily involve a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Existential Therapy; but maintains a philosophy of working collaboratively to find what approach works best for the client.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was raised as a Protestant Christian, and to treat others regardless of their background or choices with respect and unconditional kindness. That being said my spiritual beliefs only come into the session if we both agree they would be beneficial to you and your journey. No matter your identity or cause, you should have the right to feel respected, heard, and valued.
