About My Clients
We all have reasons for seeking help. Maybe Depression or anxiety have weighed you down. You may be considering a major change in your life. Or maybe you feel pain in your closest relationships. Or perhaps a conflict in your life seems to follow you wherever you go. Whatever your reason, therapy can help carve a path toward a more fulfilling life. We are changed, for better or worse, by every relationship in our lives. And my hope is that our relationship will bring about the change you seek.
My Background and Approach
Many people I work with have tried therapy in the past and found that it merely helped them cope. My approach aims to go beyond coping and create lasting change in your life. I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy. This approach aims to deepens one's understanding of self through exploration of the unconscious mind in the context of a therapeutic relationship. I have two years of post-graduate training in object relations theory from IPI and one year of post-graduate training in intersubjective self psychology through TRISP. I have experience working with a broad range of individuals from varying backgrounds and identities including gender, race, and sexuality. I am trained to work with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, relational distress, trauma, personality disorders, life changes, and attatchment wounds.
