About My Clients
Are you struggling with intrusive thoughts, difficult emotions, or recurring relationship issues? Do you feel held back by past trauma, relational misattunement, unresolved issues or current stressors? Has talk therapy taken you as far as it can? Do you need a more in-depth assessment to identify areas of mental health struggle? If you're ready to explore somatic therapy and build resilience, contact me to see if we’re a good fit.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with adults (18+) whose experiences of misattunement, abuse, neglect, or relational wounds from childhood still shape how they feel, connect, or cope, today. My client list is small to allow for more depth and greater impact. We begin with a comprehensive, evidence-based psychological assessment to gain a clear picture of your mental health. From there, we identify the most disruptive challenges and explore how you respond to stress, cope, and find calm. Sessions are paced to build self-trust and support your nervous system in releasing stuck patterns. Each session acts as a gentle “workout” to strengthen resilience and reconnect with your authentic self. You'll learn to meet challenges with more confidence and begin to experience more ease, connection, and creativity. I hold a PhD in social work that is rooted in a lifelong dedication to healing and am fully certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and somatic mindfulness and am trained as an EMDR therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I actively engage in lifelong learning to offer clients the best of both worlds—my seasoned experience and the latest, evidence-based strategies for growth and healing. I believe all humans—like all living things—are naturally oriented toward growth and healing. Like a flower pushing through a crack in concrete, we often bend to survive harsh conditions. These bends—habits, thoughts, or behaviors—are protective and adaptive. I'm deeply curious to explore with clients how these patterns helped them get here. Every emotion, reaction, and experience holds meaning and offers insight—not judgment. I also believe each person can feel more at ease and even joyful in themselves. More than a belief, I’ve witnessed it many times in healing work. Growth looks different for everyone, and I respect the unique pace and wisdom of each client’s body, mind, and spirit as we move together toward greater well-being.
