I am trained in both Gottman Method Couple Therapy (Level 1) and Emotionally Focused Therapy. The former is from a CBT-based approach, the latter deals more with the attachment bonds that the couple has and how to make these bonds feel safer.

Are you so afraid of having a panic attack that you have stopped doing things you enjoy? Is the thought of panic keeping you up at night? Panic attacks can be terrifying and I don't want you to suffer through them anymore. Hypnotherapy can remove the triggers that cause your panic attacks and CBT can help you to put skills in place to handle anxiety in a healthier manner.

Only someone who has anxiety can understand the pain it causes. I understand and I can help. You may be high-functioning and get everything done, but feel like you're falling apart inside. You may be unable to leave the house because your anxiety is so bad. Either way, it is an awful feeling. I work with anxiety using a combination of CBT and Hypnotherapy. Both methods have excellent results in helping effect anxiety. Hypnosis can help relieve symptoms your first session.

The Gottman Method is based on over 40 years of research. I have found this method to be very effective in teaching communication skills to couples who have a difficult time discussing tough topics. The method teaches couples how to interact in a positive manner to solve problems or just have their point of view heard and validated.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps couples to identify the negative interaction patterns they get caught in and change them for the better. EFT looks at the couple relationship as an attachment bond, and couple conflict as a type of protest when a partner is not getting their emotional needs met. In EFT we help the couple understand how to get these needs met and bring back a sense of safety to the relationship.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy sees emotions and behaviors as a function of thought patterns that can be changed. A therapist using CBT will help you understand what thoughts are behind your upsetting feelings and behaviors and help you to stop the negative thought patterns. I like this method because it doesn't see you as the problem or broken. It only sees thought patterns that aren't working for you and can be changed.

I provide EMDR in a systematic way that allows you to reduce trauma symptoms at your own pace without re-opening old wounds.

Trauma is not always what you think it is, and it can affect us in ways we do not expect. Having PTSD does NOT mean you are weak or broken. It means you're strong enough to have lived through something difficult without breaking. I use EMDR, Systems Therapy, and Hypnosis to help you reduce the unwanted symptoms of PTSD and take back control of your life.
