About My Clients
My specialty areas include ADHD, anxiety, mild depression, medical diagnoses (e.g., cancer, diabetes, struggles with weight, infertility, pregnancy loss), stress management, and finding life purpose. I enjoy working with everyone, and especially people who are employed in the medical field, college students, adults, women who are pregnant or postpartum, and athletes.
My Background and Approach
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to provide therapy to individuals who are suffering. I believe in hope and the possibility for improvement and change. When it comes to therapy, my treatment approach is collaborative and to take people where they are at. My goal is to create a strong relationship while providing evidence-based treatments. I integrate several approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I aim to be flexible and open-minded. I graduated with my Clinical Psychology Degree in 2016. Before becoming a psychologist, I was a high school counselor. Unfortunately, I do not take insurance in this practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My go-to phrase when it comes to finding a therapist is, "Finding a therapist is like trying on shoes, sometimes you have to try a few pairs before you find a good fit." I firmly believe in fit. If you don't feel comfortable with me after a few sessions, we need to have a talk! I don't push patients to talk about things when they aren't ready. I take a humanistic approach & work with my patients on treatment planning. Do you want coping strategies, a supportive listener, or someone who can help you grieve? We will work together to figure out how you can get the most out of this experience. I love working with a diverse group of clients and welcome any age, race, sexual orientation, gender/a-gender, or religion. I’m originally from Illinois and have lived in Iowa, California, Montana, and Colorado. When I’m not working, I spend as much time as I can outside with my family and dog. I’m an avid hiker and poor fly-fisher person. I moved to Colorado in 2016.
