About My Clients
My practice serves individuals in leadership positions who are struggling with keeping it real, not because they are fake, but because they are visible. Ironically many of my clients don't identify as leaders. They feel like they are just doing what needs to be done. They are viewed as the"reliable ones" the "glue" that holds everyone, & everything together. The weight of this responsibility can be exhausting. I hold space for my clients to put this weight down, take off their masks and just BE.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in treating childhood trauma that manifests in adulthood.My mission is to provide support, promote resilience, produce wholeness, in hopes you will possess lifelong change. My professional experience includes working in various clinical settings to include private practice, community mental health, mobile crisis, military, and school settings.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love therapy and I love people. I love to see people healed, whole, thriving, hopeful, inspired, growing, and changing. It may sound cliché, but I think therapy is a beautiful thing. To be able to create an atmosphere where individuals can be seen, heard, and affirmed is awesome. To witness the act of human resilience, while observing and highlighting the strengths of the clients I serve is something I do not take for granted. I'm passionate about supporting women of color, I understand the barriers associated with being a double minority. I also consider it my mission to destigmatize mental illness within faith-based communities. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, I support visionaries, I support entrepreneurs, I support the mindset that everyone can win! Boundaries are my babies I protect them by any means necessary. I'm black and unapologetic, I support you showing up as your authentic self as well. I have a relationship with Jesus and a Therapist.
