About My Clients
Feeling down? Anxious? Stuck? Starting something new can be difficult. Beginning therapy is often no different. It can be hard to take the first step and can include a lot of conflicting feelings. I can provide a supportive, open-minded and non-judgmental environment to help you begin the journey to a better life. Whether your reason for seeking therapy is depression, anxiety, substance abuse, interpersonal or relationship issues, I can help you begin your journey to feeling better.
My Background and Approach
I take an individualized approach to therapy and my approach is generally more CBT-oriented. I do not assign traditional homework but do try to summarize what we covered in the session and offer ideas on how to implement things during the week. Therapy is only 45 minutes out of the whole week so a lot of work really gets done between sessions. Progress is very individual but clients usually start to notice a shift in themselves, a change in how they view things, and improvement in their mood or their relationships.
