I have been providing trauma treatment to veterans and non-veterans, including childhood abuse and neglect, sexual traumas, domestic violence, combat traumas, violence, refugees, major car accidents, grief and loss, etc. I am specialized in evidence based psychotherapy (EBP) for PTSD, such as Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). These EBPs are endorsed to be the most effective treatment for PTSD on www.ptsd.org, WHO and more.

Eating Disorders are complicated conditions that affect people in many aspects of their lives. I offer treatment such as Enhanced Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT-E) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help people not only to re-establish a healthier eating habits but a more appropriate self-image.

Many people suffer from depression that prevents them from being more effective in their relationships and from having a better quality of life. I offer treatment such as strength approach, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT-D), Cognitive behavior Therapy (CBT), etc. to help people to move forward in their recovery.

This is an experiential therapy with a Mindfulness component. Through exercises in session, clients gained first-hand experiences and insights about what are the most important values, decisions, directions and goals in their lives. The experiences and insights might facilitate acceptance of what it is and promote commitment to make changes which would lead to a better quality of life.

There are two major components on CBT. One is to identify and then challenge irrational thinking errors and patterns (cognitive component), and the other is to set feasible and reasonable goals and then develop an action plan with clear and concrete steps to reach the goals (behavioral component). It takes a client's active engagement and participation in this treatment to facilitate the change.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing. It is an evidence based psychotherapy (EBP) to treat people with traumas or PTSD. Mimicking Rapid Eye Movement (REM) during sleep, we activate your brain to reprocess those un-processed traumatic experiences . The ultimate goal of EMDR is to desensitize and reprocess traumatic experiences which then would be stored in hippocampus. When triggered, the intensity of those memories will become manageable, not overwhelming.
