About My Clients

I am a psychologist who specializes in evidence-based treatments for anxiety, selective mutism, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and depression in children, adolescents, and young adults. Additionally, I provide parents with behavioral management strategies for children with disruptive behavior disorders. I work at McLean Hospital in the School Consultation Service and support school staff in the implementation of evidence-based mental health practices.

My Background and Approach

I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Boston University. I was a post-doctoral fellow at Boston Child Study Center and completed my predoctoral internship at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Management Training, and have certification in the Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism. Additionally, I have training in the implementation of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy strategies. By using evidence-based practices, I support my clients in learning and using skills to effectively cope with difficult emotions, decrease their distress, and enrich their lives. My goal is to help clients feel empowered to manage tough situations and build resilience in the face of future challenges.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that with courage, everyone is capable of stepping outside their comfort zones to grow and change in their lives. I am a strong believer of treating all individuals with fairness, no matter what identities you hold. I am passionate about working with and empowering individuals from marginalized groups and fully support the Black Lives Matter movement and the LGBTQIA+ community. I am continuously working on my self-growth, including reflecting on my biases and privileges and I take a curious stance when working with my clients, in particular clients that identify with marginalized identities.
