About My Clients
I work well with adults who grew up from emotionally unavailable caregivers, couples who struggles with communication/ connection/ intimacy and cross-cultural conflicts. I support clients in connecting with their feelings and authentic selves to build a more balanced and healthier relationship with others and oneself. Together we address issues of depression, relational trauma, grief and loss, and experience about immigration, acculturation and marginalization.
My Background and Approach
I support clients to show up authentically with themselves and others. I assist client in gaining insights from challenging situations. My therapeutic style is compassionate, interactive and non-judgmental. I often draw on Attachment-Based, Humanistic-Existential and Psychodynamic approaches in my practice. Besides talk therapy, I may integrate experiential exercise, role play, and expressive arts approaches depending on your readiness and interest. In our work, we re-examine the blocks in your life and create a new way of relating to them. Together we will aim to transfer your therapeutic progress into any aspect of your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer Asian therapist holding both privileged and oppressed identities, I value diversity and support individuals who have mixed cultural identities or experiences. I strive to create a collaborative, culturally competent and trauma informed therapeutic process for you.
