My Background and Approach
Cruz-Fernandez is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Yosely completed her bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and her Master’s Degrees were from the University of Detroit Mercy and Wayne State University. She obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University and her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Regis College. Working in many diverse areas across the country, Yosely’s experience includes neuroscience, critical care, cardiology, nursing education, nursing administration, executive hospital leadership, and psychiatry. She has been an advanced practice nurse/Nurse Practitioner for the past 12 years. Her work experiences in both large metropolitan areas and rural areas, with limited access to health care, have ignited a passion for providing access to affordable, quality mental health care.
