About My Clients
We often want lives that are full of meaning and purpose. What that looks like differs from person to person. It involves some collaboration with the therapist on how treatment might look like or finding new coping skills/resources for depression and/or anxiety surrounding work, school, and social lives, life transitions, family conflicts, relational issues, sexual and gender identity. I’m a culturally attuned active listener and actively engage/motivate clients to take charge within sessions
My Background and Approach
I graduated with an MA-MFT emphasis in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. My work focuses on diversity and LGBTQ issues. I am only providing relehealth services. I am trauma focused, culturally competent, and have personal experience with religious trauma and trauma around LGBTQ issues. I love working with young adults, and couples regarding stress, relational conflicts, attachment styles, and helping them find resources that specifically work for them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I sometimes work from existential approach; I believe everyone is here to learn/grow and I feel as a clinician, my job is not just to help clients, but learn together with them about their own beliefs and values. I am a member of the LGBTQ community and grew up with Christian Asian family background, and have personally been through religious trauma; I believe that healing is important, whether it be spiritual or other aspects.
