Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is not a disorder. It is a a natural body function when we experience an unspeakable paradigm shift. The issue is that we are not educated on how to regulate ourselves and reorient our bodies for the lives we choose to live. I can help get “you” back by using techniques such as somatic experiencing, kundalini yoga and particular exercises that reorient you to living a more wholesome, empowered and connected experience in your body, mind and life.
I help you learn how to recognize anxiety long before it’s occurence (up to a week in advance) and how to resolve potential anxiety before it ever becomes a “problem”. I use a combination of somatic experiencing, psychodrama, biophysiological techniques, internal family system, spiritual practices and certain ancient yogic meditations and movements to reorient your body to feeling safe and calm once more. I see immediate and sustainable results for over 90% of my clients.
Once you made the choice to begin living your life again and not use your eating or lack thereof to deal with your given problems, I can show you how to do that. I can also show you how to reconnect with the different parts of you to create a more harmonious balance between what happens in life and your reactions to it. Part of the issue with therapy, and our society as a whole is the way we see our world and selves. We expect to not feel a certain way, push a feeling away and then expect a drink, a funny movie or food to help us feel better. We also assume therapy should be the only place where we talk about this (even though we know talking over and over again doesn’t help). Coaching is an invitation to expanding preconceived boundaries about yourself and the world because you want to get results.
To me, Energy psychology is an opportunity to tap into an unlimited flow of opportunity of how things can be. Often beyond your expectations. We do not need to stick with one approach or one technique. We need to see how the energy is flowing within you and we can use certain ancient practices to move things right again. The best part of this practice is that you feel the results within a few minutes. It is shocking how different you can feel within a few minutes of investment.
Somatic therapy is the physical underlying prompting of all emotion and action. It is physically felt through the vagus nerve (12th cranial nerve in the brain) throughout our whole body. When you develop awareness of your sensations you can learn how to “feel” feelings in a completely new way. It is like having another sense. Once you have this sense, you can develop techniques that make moving through emotions, trauma, eating disorders and other “intense” states a breeze. It is fun and easy!
