My Background and Approach
My journey in healthcare began in 1997 as a Registered Nurse in New York City. I earned my BSN from Downstate University Brooklyn, followed by a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Barry University in Miami. Later, I achieved my post-master's certification as a PMHNP-BC from Liberty University with honors. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience across various healthcare settings, including intensive care, emergency departments, home care, labor and delivery, and private practice. Since 2015, I've been with Optum, managing complex care for chronic conditions and making house calls to ensure seamless medication management. I take pride in my ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients, breaking down language barriers to provide inclusive care. I prioritize education, continually enhancing my professional knowledge to align with each client's unique needs.
