About My Clients
You may be here because something in your life doesn’t feel right. In therapy, we are not just looking for what is wrong, but slowing things down to see what is actually happening, both inside and outside of us.
My Background and Approach
As a marriage and family therapist (MFT), I work with clients from a relational, empowering, and non-judgmental way. As a PhD candidate in MFT, I integrate evidence-based models (Internal Family System, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Attachment-based Family Therapy, etc.) I work with adult individuals, couples, and families. With individuals, I focus on identity, family of origin, attachment, and relationships. With couples and families, I work with conflict resolution, cross-generational issues, life transitions, and communication. I also particularly work with young adulthood and cross-cultural-related issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As someone who grew up in China and has studied and worked in the U.S., I know what it can feel like to not fully belong anywhere. Together, I hope to create a space where you can explore your life story, understand the relationships and experiences that have shaped you, develop new ways of relating to yourself and others, and make intentional choices about who you want to be.
