About My Clients
I work with young adults and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, faith-related concerns, life transitions, and feeling stuck or unsure of themselves. You may understand that something is wrong but have difficulty identifying why, or you may feel caught in patterns that keep repeating. My goal is to help you better understand what’s contributing to your struggles, recognize those patterns, and find practical ways to move forward.
My Background and Approach
I am an MSW and Licensed Social Worker at Wellspring Counseling, practicing under clinical supervision. My approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy, existential therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and a person-centered perspective. I enjoy helping clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, experiences, relationships, and the ways they respond to difficult situations. Therapy with me is not only about learning coping skills. We may also explore deeper questions about identity, self-worth, purpose, relationships, values, and what may be keeping you stuck. I aim to provide a collaborative and conversational space where you can be honest about what you are experiencing without feeling like you need to have everything figured out. For clients who desire it, Christian faith and spirituality can also be thoughtfully incorporated into therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are best understood within the full context of their lives, including their experiences, relationships, culture, values, and beliefs. As a Black therapist, I value culturally responsive care and recognize that identity and lived experience can influence how we understand ourselves and the world around us. Christian faith is personally important to me, and I am comfortable helping clients explore spiritual or faith-related concerns when that is meaningful to them. At the same time, I welcome clients from a variety of religious and nonreligious backgrounds. My goal is not to push a particular worldview, but to understand what matters to you and make room for those values within therapy.
