I identify as a cis-gender, queer person who has a background in LGBTQ+ research, am consultant for creating diverse and inclusive work spaces and am an Army Res Veteran. I am a graduate of the University of Louisville in Counseling Psychology where I spent time researching Trans/GNC* experiences in the VA healthcare system. I also spent time throughout my life and career working with LGBTQ+ youth in my various communities. I have experiences working with the veteran population and, as a veteran myself, I understand the difficulty in transitioning to civilian life and adjusting to life after a deployment. I am trained in several modalities and use them thoughtfully and in an integrative way according to your needs which includes; mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive processing therapy, and interpersonal therapy.
