Pregnancy & postpartum are supposed to be a beautiful and empowering moment. They can also be the most challenging and self-doubting phases in life. Trying to be calm, joyful and loving while sleep deprived, isolated and learning how to be a mom feel almost impossible. Depression, anxiety, guilt can get in the way of you being present and connected with the ones you love. Know that you are not alone, you're not to blame. I'm here to help you live a meaningful life as a mom and empowered woman.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Clinical Psychologist. I specialize in the treatment of Perinatal Mental Health and pregnancy loss. I focus on helping women in the pregnancy and postpartum period who are experiencing anxiety, depression or high levels of stress. I help parents who are grieving after experiencing a pregnancy loss (miscarriage or stillbirth). I work with women that are experiencing increased level of stress during the transition to motherhood, trying to find their new identity and trying to accomplish a balanced life. I completed a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. My internship was in clinical health psychology at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus. Then in 2014, I moved to Florida and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology. I’m Certified in Perinatal Mental Health [PMH-C] by Postpartum Support International [PSI] and have additional training in pregnancy loss and grief management.
