About My Clients
I believe success in therapy begins with a supportive, non-judgemental environment and believe that you have the ultimate agency needed to determine the most authentic path for yourself. I work with individuals who need support with life transitions, low self esteem, anxiety, mood and many other behavioral disorders. I know that it can feel daunting to reach out and ask for help and give you a lot of credit for taking the first step.
My Background and Approach
I see myself as a guide in your process and bring a range of techniques to of approaches to our sessions including person centered, strength based, mindfulness and cognitive treatment. I also have a degree in Expresive Arts Therapy and can incorporate said interventions into sessions if desired. I know that no two people are alike and like to help you build a toolbox that works best for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe that each person is ultimately the expert on themselves. I believe that every unwanted behavior has served as a survival skill that has outlived its purpose. I know that it is possible to unlearn these behaviors and learn new behaviors. When I am not working, I enjoy drawing and painting, playing piano, knitting and reading. I know that these activities bring a lot of value to my life. I understand the importance of finding meaningful activities and communities to help you live a fuller life and am happy to help you find the things that give your life meaning.
