About My Clients
With years of practice with individuals who struggle with life transition, anxiety, depression and interpersonal conflicts, I deeply understand the challenges you might be facing. I have worked with students, including international students, caregivers of autistic children, individuals who have difficulty balancing life and work.
My Background and Approach
In terms of evidence-based approaches, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing. The healing process to many people, is a conversation with themselves - in that case, I will be the listener. For people with special needs (e.g. autism), I will utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves to be heard, no matter who you are and where you’re from. You might be looking for a way to better cope with excessive worry/anxiety or some negative thoughts, as a student who is struggling with overwhelming schoolwork, as a family member of an individual with autism/developmental disability, as a so-called minority in this society... Feeling hopeless and worthless is not uncommon and people never need to give in. As a therapist, I’m willing to walk with you while you’re in a tough moment of your life. I will try to be a good listener and explore the goals/objectives of your life. We will overcome the obstacles and difficulties together by empowering yourself, learning how to get along with negative feelings, improving self-identity and knowing better about yourself.
