About My Clients
My ideal client is open to self-discovery and ready to grow through life’s transitions. They may be queer, neurodivergent, or navigating grief, identity, or relational changes. They don’t need to have it all figured out, just a willingness to explore healing with dedication, curiosity, honesty, and care. I value clients who seek a collaborative, affirming space where all parts of who they are are welcomed.
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed associate counselor (LAC) with a background in education, having spent 18+ years supporting youth and families in school settings. I recently graduated with my MEd in School Counseling and receiving supervised clinical training in both school-based and private practice settings. I specialize in working with neurodivergent, queer, and trans clients, as well as those navigating grief, identity development, anxiety, and life transitions. Additionally, because of my own lived experience and identities, I understand how overlapping identities can impact mental health, especially when navigating systemic oppression. I use CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and somatic approaches, all adapted through a trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and culturally responsive lens.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer, non-binary, neurodivergent person, I’m passionate about creating affirming spaces for folks whose identities have been marginalized. I believe healing is a radical act, especially for those navigating systems of oppression. I support LGBTQIA+ rights, racial justice, disability justice, and body liberation. I strive to practice cultural humility and decolonize mental health wherever possible. Outside of counseling, I advocate for inclusive education, mutual aid, and community care as essential parts of collective healing. I believe access to education, resources, and support should not be gatekept or dependent on privilege. I support efforts that uplift marginalized voices, challenge systemic inequality, and prioritize people over profit. Whether it’s sharing mental health tools, supporting grassroots efforts, or showing up for my community, I believe small, intentional acts of care can create meaningful change.
