About My Clients
Are you are experiencing anxiety due to relationships, family issues, or work stress? I work with my clients to identify the root cause of your feelings, process those feelings and find mindful coping skills that work for you. We can work together to process your history and anything you may have gone through that is holding you back from having the life you want and the relationships you feel you are missing out on.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I provide Telehealth counseling in Florida, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology at Florida State University and then earned a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Loyola University New Orleans. I am trained in Multisystemic Family Therapy, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Perinatal Loss and Grief and EMDR. I began working with families of adolescents in the Juvenile Justice System in New Orleans. I utilized Family Therapy to keep their children in the home and out of the criminal justice system. I continued this work in Nashville and later began working with families with children in foster care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
This work can be challenging, which is why it is so important to build our toolbox. I utilize EMDR Therapy in sessions in order to process difficult memories. We will also work to develop tools you can use outside of the therapy room, including boundaries, coping skills, breathing techniques, and a support system. We will work through some very difficult times together. I am here to offer a safe space where you can communicate freely and experience your feelings without having to hold back or support anyone else. Taking care of yourself is just one step in your journey, but truly one of the most important. I am looking forward to meeting you!
