About My Clients
I work with clients ready for depth over quick fixes—teens wanting genuine partnership, neurodivergent individuals tired of masking, LGBTQ+ clients seeking true affirmation, and families willing to change destructive patterns. They value authenticity and collaborative relationships over clinical distance. They want therapists who handle complexity with warmth and real partnership. Meaningful change requires facing what's actually happening, and they're ready for that work.
My Background and Approach
I've spent years working with teens, young adults, families, and neurodivergent individuals, developing a toolkit from EMDR, TF-CBT, adolescent DBT, and relational approaches refined through community mental health, group practice, and residential treatment experience. My goal is to equip you with practical, personalized tools that honor how your brain actually works. I'm direct and collaborative—we focus on what's happening now while addressing underlying patterns. For neurodivergent clients, we build on strengths rather than forcing neurotypical expectations. For LGBTQ+ individuals, we work within an affirming framework. With families, we develop communication skills for your unique dynamics. I specialize in helping people understand what happens in their minds and bodies during difficult moments, so you develop genuine mastery and lasting resilience. My approach is anti-shame and pro-growth. You're the expert on your experience—I provide tools that actually serve you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you deserve to know who your therapist is beyond their credentials. My work is grounded in progressive values and the recognition that many struggles aren't individual failures but responses to systemic injustices. Whether it's internalized beliefs about who we're "supposed to be" or the impact of discrimination, racism, homophobia, transphobia, or ableism, healing often requires addressing both personal patterns and societal contexts. I don't believe in apolitical therapy. The personal is political, and pretending otherwise can harm marginalized communities. You deserve a therapist who sees the full context of your experience and holds space for both individual healing and systemic realities. My goal is to create a relationship where you feel truly seen and supported, not just tolerated. I'm here to walk alongside you as you navigate personal growth and the challenges of existing authentically in a world that doesn't always make space for who you are.
