About My Clients
Hello, I am Xai ("Sai"/"Cy"), a bilingual LMSW (#106740) in Hmong and English with 12+ years across child welfare, crisis care, ACT, suicidal ideation, and hospital social work. I use CBT and motivational interviewing. I listen, collect stories, and focus on healing—you are not defined by a diagnosis. I specialize in suicidal ideation, men's issues, anxiety, depression, and uplifting you as a calm teammate who challenges catastrophizing and perfectionism.
My Background and Approach
These values come from more than a decade in crisis intervention, telehealth therapy, mobile crisis response, case management, community-based care, child welfare, and policy advocacy across New York and Minnesota. That range shapes how I work: holding both the internal work of understanding yourself and the practical work of taking action within the systems around you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Your feelings are valid simply because they're yours — you don't need to justify them, just space to hear them and decide what's next. I also believe life is meant to be lived, not just managed: real change comes from action, not just insight, so I care about the concrete steps that turn "I want things to be different" into "things are different." And underneath it all is a belief in showing up for each other — caring for your neighbor and community isn't separate from healing, it's part of it.
