About My Clients

I help high-functioning individuals build clarity, resilience, and grounded presence—especially during stress, burnout, or transition. Blending evidence-based and somatic methods, I offer practical tools for nervous system regulation, emotional agility, and deeper self-connection.

My Background and Approach

As an artist and a LCSW I have an unusual creative background backed by clinical experience in hospitals, clinics and private practice. I incorporate somatic experiencing, nervous system regulation, CBT, mindfulness and other evidence-based treatments with an interactive dynamic rooted in supportive dialogue. My practice style is nurturing, patient and eclectic and aims to establish comfortable rapport and connection as a foundation for positive change. I work with LGBTQIA+ navigating coming out and gender transition as well as assissting BIPOC patients with racial justice framework. I have particular experience with leaving organized religion and finding a new community. I also work with patients with chronic illness, particularly POTs. I work with people navigating complex experiences—grief, identity shifts, parenting, illness, or trauma—with honesty and care. My practice is LGBTQ+ and BIPOC affirming, and offers space for real, respectful connection.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe many people are limited by the idea of big feelings and discomfort, and I also believe that this is simply because they were never taught to navigate their own emotional systems with confidence and bravery. I believe that learning that your physical body knows how to help you cope and find comfort in periods of distress is life changing. I believe that meaningful change and progress can be made even for people who do not like to talk about their feelings or are leery of getting to know themselves. I believe that it is possible to find your people wherever you are, and that a chosen family can be as supporting and nourishing as a biological one. I believe that alternative modalities (like movement, art, music and writing) can be powerful supplements to weekly therapy sessions. I believe being authentic trumps being "good," that being authentic trumps being obedient, and that speaking up for what you need and want trumps "not rocking the boat."
