About My Clients
Our practice prioritizes providing culturally competent care tailored to the unique experiences especially with Trauma and needs of BIPOC individuals. While our focus is primarily on BIPOC adults we also welcome clients aged 18 and older who are seeking a decolonial approach to their therapeutic journey. This approach acknowledges and addresses the impact of colonization, oppression, and systemic injustice on mental health and well-being.
My Background and Approach
As a Taiwanese and Malay-Chinese adult child of immigrants and a wounded healer, l've had to walk through on my own journey of attunement and tending to myself. I've worked to reclaim the parts of myself that were lost or suppressed, and through this process, I've found the strength to break free from cultural and gender norms to embrace and adult children of immigrants as they navigate the complexities of burnout, toxic work environments, code-switching, people-pleasing, complex trauma, and identity reclamation. My approach is rooted in anti-oppressive, culturally trauma-informed practices and somatics that emphasize mutuality and community over individualism. If you're feeling stuck in areas like friendships, trauma, dating, career, or finding your sense of purpose, l invite you to sign up for a free 15-minute consultation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The word"Cha" from Cha collaborative means tea in various cultures, and just as each type of tea has its distinct flavor and brewing time, we aim to reflect the rich and diverse cultural experiences and healing journeys that each person goes through-each with its own distinct flavor. When clients ask about what it's like working with me, the word "understanding" comes to mind. As someone who has their own distinct flavor, I bring my own authenticity and curiosity to every session, creating a safe space for you to be more attuned to your body and emotions.
