About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed and disconnected by personal and/or collective loss? Has the experience of suffering and grief kept you isolated and afraid to seek support? When we encounter one or more stressful, traumatic, or grief-stricken events in our lives, we often carry stuck energy in our body, mind, and spirit. I co-create and hold space with folks to feel less alone in navigating challenging moments in life, and together, practice ways to process and reconnect with Self and others.
My Background and Approach
I approach my work with cultural humility, trauma-informed, and embodiment practices, as well as sex positive and poly/non-monogamous affirming care. In co-created and shared therapeutic space, I primarily offer support in intergenerational trauma recovery and grief and loss, as well as anxiety, navigating life transitions, changes in relationship dynamics, exploration of identity, and cultural, spiritual, and family values. With my background in both social work and public health, my therapeutic approach considers the individual within the context of their greater environment. I integrate decolonized mental health, yoga philosophy, mindfulness, attachment-based, integrative, psychodynamic and humanistic methods of therapy, and am informed by the following modalities: Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an eldest daughter of immigrants, an active healing and climate justice practitioner, and mutual aid organizer. I enjoy learning about various faith and spiritual traditions, and integrate various practices in my life informed by Buddhism, Hinduism, and Afro-Cuban spirituality.
