About My Clients
Living one’s best life is at the heart of my clinical practice, publishing and research. Whether you struggle with relationships, anxiety, depression, loss, career change, or reconnecting with your purpose in life, I hope to help you cope, unblock barriers and deepen your understanding of yourself. My experience has taught me that your symptoms can become a road map to guide you back toward a sense of wholeness.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Biola University, my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, and completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I've won the American Psychological Association's Division 39 Multicultural Scholar Award, and published work in the Journal of Humanistic Psychology on the topic of self actualization. I am an Associate Core Professor in the Ph.D. Clinical Program at Pacifica Graduate Institute, Santa Barbara, and specialize in integrative depth psychology and psychotherapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Personally, my beliefs are reflected in the service that I provide daily. I am an avid believer in social support organizations that educate, enlighten, and advocate for marginalized and underrepresented communities. As a professor, I too have cultivated multicultural approaches to inclusivity and the empowerment of said groups. To better illustrate my efforts in the causes that I feel passionate about, I mentor several college and graduate students actively involved in various social justice movements and part of my specialty is in supporting clients navigating the inevitable existential issues of life.
