About My Clients
If you find yourself paralyzed by perfectionism or suffering from self-doubt, you may be a good fit as one of my clients. I specialize in working with people to help them get unstuck, choose action over avoidance, and overcome the obstacles getting in the way of having more satisfying, meaningful lives. I also work with people to construct healthy boundaries in their lives to reduce mental and emotional burnout and improve psychological well-being.
My Background and Approach
I am a psychologist licensed in Oregon and Washington with a B. A. in Psychology from Yale University and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. I have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all of us have a deep need for a sense of agency and control in our lives, and it is when we feel this sense of empowerment through our actions that personal growth takes place. I believe that therapy is a chance for individuals to talk to a professional whose similarities may help them relate on a deep level and whose differences can also lead to powerful, creative problem solving. I am a proud member of the Asian-American community and am an advocate of giving voice to marginalized groups.
