About My Clients
I primarily specialize in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, LGBTQIA and change of life difficulties. I find it really rewarding when we can chisel away at some of the automatic thoughts that may be clouding your experience or worsening your symptoms. I think it is important to use a collaborative approach in therapy and utilize the time we have together in a way that makes sense based off of the difficulties my clients are experiencing.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a holistic approach in psychotherapy and tend to explore all of the factors that may be influencing your lived experience. In session, I tend to rely heavily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and spend a lot of time focusing on your thoughts and their connection to the symptoms you feel. Additionally, I have specialized training in cognitive processing therapy for PTSD and completed a postdoctoral fellowship focusing on unique difficulties within the LGBTQIA+ and kink communities. To me, therapy often feels like we are working together to solve a puzzle.
