About My Clients
My ideal clients are adults carrying something heavy — trauma, grief, anxiety that won't quiet, or a transition that has them unmoored. Many hold it together outwardly while struggling underneath. You set the pace here. Some weeks that means practical tools you can use right away; other times it means untangling longstanding patterns so they stop running the show. If you want a therapist who's steady, straight with you, and in your corner — we may be a good fit. Virtual sessions across PA.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's from the University of Pennsylvania. I hold a certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Bryn Mawr, completed CBT training through the Beck Institute initiative at Penn, and trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma — so I can work both deeply and practically, depending on what you need. Before private practice, I spent ten years at the Philadelphia DA's Office in victim services, supporting people through the aftermath of violence and loss. That decade taught me how to sit with pain without flinching — and how to help people find their footing again.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a lifelong Philadelphian, a father of two, and a life-long runner. Running taught me what I also believe about therapy: progress isn't linear, showing up matters more than being perfect, and the hardest miles are where the growth happens. I believe therapy works best when it's human first — no jargon, no judgment, no performing wellness. Everyone deserves a space where they can be fully themselves, and that's what I strive to offer every client.
