About My Clients
I work with young adults and teenagers on developing self-awareness, navigating life transitions, and processing past traumas. Many of my clients also have ADHD, and I am passionate about helping young people with ADHD to understand themselves and what they need, while also helping parents of children/teens with ADHD learn new and effective ways of handling related challenges.
My Background and Approach
I believe that young people are most open to making positive changes within the context of relationships based on respect, trust, and teamwork, and I focus on creating a therapeutic atmosphere that prioritizes these things. Together, we'll set goals that reflect what is personally meaningful and important to you. I work within a modern cognitive behavioral framework, which means that we will pay special attention to your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes as well as the actions and activities you 're engaged in. I also incorporate elements of dialectical behavior therapy, stress reduction, and somatic trauma therapies.
