My Background and Approach
I've spent the last five years helping people work through the hard stuff—trauma, grief, anxiety, identity, relationship stress, and the weight of life after service. I pull from a range of approaches—ACT, CBT, psychodynamic, EFT, and solution-focused work—so we can find what actually fits you. I’m not here to give you cookie-cutter advice. I’ll help you build a set of tools that work in real life, not just in session. You’ll leave with techniques you can carry with you—practical, grounded, and ready when you need them. We’ll work together to untangle what’s going on underneath it all. Whether it's big, buried trauma or just feeling stuck in a loop, we’ll slow it down, break it apart, and make room for something new. This isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you reconnect with who you’ve been all along.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don’t believe people are stuck. We’re all capable of change, growth, and unlearning the patterns that no longer serve us. A lot of what gets labeled as “mental health issues” are really just learned responses—things we picked up to survive. And if they were learned, they can be unlearned. I use therapy tools that are practical and grounded in real life, because I want you to feel the kind of freedom that comes from not being run by your past. I don’t judge. I work with whoever shows up as they are—no shame, no filters. And yes, I truly believe the Portland Trail Blazers are the best team in the NBA… but I won’t hold it against you if you don’t. Experience counts—and not just clinical hours. Age brings its own kind of wisdom. Life’s knocked me around a bit too, and I bring that perspective into the room along with my education and training. Therapy with me is real talk, real tools, and real support.
