About My Clients
I work with clients who give a side-eye to the status quo, who know their path through life won't look like others', and who are looking for a therapist to help them explore questions, not to provide answers. Within this space, I specialize in relationships, and I work with people to understand how to feel seen, heal from trauma, and transform their relationships with themselves.
My Background and Approach
I had a troubled adolescence, grew up in a broken home, and through it all wanted to understand how things got so messed up. I got a BA in Philosophy, then an MA in Counseling Psychology to try to fit it all together. In between my degrees, I owned an organic vegetable farm. I approach counseling with equal parts theory and curiosity, knowing that in each client and in each couple there are things I have never encountered before, just as there are patterns of human experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in deep archetypal patterns that offer us rich human experiences. I believe that healing is a process and that a deep collaborative therapeutic relationship can provide safety in crisis, help in navigating life transitions, and inspiration and tools to return to ourselves.
