About My Clients
My background is with couples, children (2+), and parents. I specialize working alongside people diagnosed with serious illness (specifically cancer and childhood cancer) and their caregivers, as well as medical professionals and students. I also specialized in anxiety, self doubt, and self esteem concerns. Couple counseling and parent/child work are also predominate areas of focus in my practice.
My Background and Approach
In sessions, I help my clients reflect on current stressors and soothe past hurts. Throughout sessions, clients connect emotionally, establish new patterns of interaction, and re-develop a secure base with loved ones. I draw from a range of clinical approaches to promote insight and access emotions. I'm an Emotion Focused Therapist and a Certified Gottman Therapist. I pull from these relational approaches to alleviate relationship distress and halt conflict cycles. I use a trauma informed lens and utilize Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) strategies to improve daily coping.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a social worker who's practice, like all social workers, is rooted in all social justice movements. I'm a kink affirming, sex positive, polymerous and consensual non-monogamy friendly therapist. All are welcome here!
