About My Clients
You may be someone who looks like you’re holding it all together on the outside while privately feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply exhausted from trying to figure yourself out. I work with adults and couples navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, relational and attachment wounds, life transitions, grief, identity exploration, and the patterns that can develop when we’ve had to adapt to difficult experiences.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a background in international relations, nonprofit leadership, and community development. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working alongside communities and organizations focused on connection, resilience, and meaningful change. Those experiences continue to shape how I understand people and the importance of belonging, safety, and relationship. My clinical work is rooted in trauma-informed, relational, and somatic approaches. I draw from attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, DBT, and nature-based therapy. I’m also trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, polyvagal-informed care, and trauma recovery.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are whole, complicated humans, not problems to be fixed. I believe our stories matter, our bodies carry wisdom, and many of the things we’ve learned to dislike about ourselves once served an important purpose. I also believe therapy doesn’t have to be stiff, clinical, or overly serious all the time. There is room for laughter, curiosity, creativity, movement, nature, hard conversations, and the occasional “well…that explains a lot.” Outside of the therapy room, you’ll usually find me somewhere outside; on the water, exploring a trail, traveling, or finding small ways to make ordinary life feel a little more meaningful. I’m drawn to the ways nature, movement, community, and genuine human connection can help us come back to ourselves. Most of all, I believe you deserve to have a space where you don’t have to perform, have the perfect words, or have everything figured out. You get to show up as the whole, messy, complicated, wonderful human that you are.
