About My Clients
Are you struggling with difficult emotions? Are you experiencing emotional pain and troubling thoughts, but are unsure how to cope with these things? As a therapist, I would love to come alongside you and listen to the concerns you have in your mind, body and heart. I would love to equip you with skills and new ways of relating to your thoughts and emotions. I hope you will feel safe, heard and seen in my office as we seek to shine a light in a dark place.
My Background and Approach
My approach to counseling is holistic; I want to help you mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. I want to provide you with a space where we will learn to accept all parts of ourselves and make decisions in line with health and healing. I have been licensed since 2019 and have been working with children, adolescents, adults and families to aid them in improving their well-being. I want to equip you with new skills you can use in your everyday life, as well as heal what has been wounded. When life is dark, I will help shine a light. When no one else will listen, I will be the ear that hears. And when you feel misunderstood, I hope you will feel seen. I have training in various treatments that have benefited my clients, such as, but not limited to, cognitive-behavioral therapy, internal family systems, EMDR and child-centered play therapy. We will find what works for you, together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about helping Christian clients find a space where they can talk about their spirituality without fear of judgement. I am also passionate about racial justice and providing individuals a place to be honest of the hurts they have experienced at the hands of others.
