About My Clients

Life can be difficult to navigate at times and we all can use an empathetic ear and encouraging word, I hope to be that for my clients. Facing anxiety, depression, bullying, panic attacks, and other difficulties can be debilitating and even scary. It is my goal to listen and teach you the tools you need to navigate these difficult feelings.

My Background and Approach

I have 3.5 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults facing an array of mental health issues. I have provided services both in inpatient facilities, private practice, and voluntarily as a crisis counselor. I am experienced in teaching tools that are effective in helping my clients cope with anxiety, depression, family issues, and whatever else they may face. As a person-centered therapist I operate on the humanistic belief that my clients are inherently driven toward and have the capacity for growth and self-actualization. My role is to provide a nonjudgmental environment conducive to honest self-exploration.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Due to my experience providing counseling services both in private practice and in an inpatient facility specifically to children, teens, and young adults ,I have seen our young people struggling at an alarming rate with mental health issues. I try to offer my time as often as I can to provide support to this demographic. I spend time volunteering with my areas national adoption day helping to provide a memorable experience for these children on their special day. I volunteer with the crisis text line on a weekly basis assisting people of all walks of life work through a difficult moment to find a place of calm. I am co director of my community's nonprofit dedicated to giving back to our community as a whole and providing opportunities and support for our youth. I believe that spirituality can be a comfort and a guiding light, and work to incorporate client beliefs into our work together in line with the clients comfort level.
